Participants in this course journey literally to the other side of the Earth where, in the Southern Hemisphere, they will view different constellations and experience the opposite season (autumn)!
Students will complete a five-day practicum in Queenstown in public school classrooms and visit historical sites and museums. Highlights include: a traditional meal, cultural events, hiking, jet boating, visiting an old gold mining area near Queenstown; a day cruise to a show and high tea; and the beautiful mountains where Lord of the Rings was filmed.
The group will fly from Washington, D.C. to California, then non-stop to New Zealand, and fly between the North and South Islands while in New Zealand.
